I live in Springfield, Missouri. I am married to my husband, Ian. I am a mother of two children. My son is 19 years old and my daughter is 16 years. I recently became a grandmother.
My son wanted a Lab for many years, I finally got him one in November of 2001. Since then, we have earned Gingers' CD (AKC obedience title), CGC (Canine Good Citizen), and TD (AKC tracking title).
I got my first AKK in May of 2002, Shaatk'. My second in September of 2003, Nukilik, then added Misty and Kellika in January 2004.
We had our first litter of puppies in June 2004. I kept a black and white male, Makatk'. He is a wonderful companion. He has grown into a great looking AKK.
I brought home, Amarok, in December 2004. He has been a true delight. He earned his Grand Champion at the early age of 9 months. I am grateful to Sherry Storey for entrusting me with this wonderful little guy. He was the 8th Qualifier in the 2005 Top Ten, in just six months of showing.
I kept a puppy from Shaatk' last litter, Aspen. My last AKK acquired is Teka and she came from Kenny Compton at Shalimar Acres. I brought her home, November 2006. Thank you Kenny, I look forward to seeing how she continues to grow.
I am currently serving as AKKAOA's President and Event Chairman.

I love to scrapbook, show and train my dogs, and spend time with family and friends. I work full time as an Office Administrator for a local structural engineering firm. A new hobby will be spending time with my new granddaughter.
